Does a deep tissue massage hurt?

Would it be considered relaxing?Does a deep tissue massage hurt?
It depends on several factors. If you are already experiencing pain, yes, the massage will hurt while the added pressure is applied, but should subside back to the original intensity within a few hours. Most of the time, people do not have any unpleasant sensations from a deep tissue massage, if it starts to hurt, then ask for the therapist to not use so much pressure or to move to another area. After working the same area for a while, it can become tender and uncomfortable. Each person has a unique pain threshold of thier own, and what is painful to some is not to others. I personally feel pain very easily, due to a nerve problem, but do injoy a strong massage to work out the kinks in my neck shoulders and low back. Hope this helped.Does a deep tissue massage hurt?
It isn't supposed to hurt much. Pain is nature's way of saying ';STOP, FOOL!';
It can be but it won't hurt for tooo many DAYS. Think about it, DEEP TISSUE. Ouch !
