Whats the difference in a deep tissue and a relaxation massage?

I've been ttc for almost 2 years, and the stress has be so tense, nothing I've done helps! Hot showers, hubby giving his 5min massage, yoga, nothing.

What is the difference in a deep tissue and a relaxation massage?(other than the $5)

(The reason I ask in this category is because I can get NO answers anywhere else...and I know there has to be someone out there that has experience getting massaged...if not...I don't know how everyone else coped with the physical pains of stress!!)Whats the difference in a deep tissue and a relaxation massage?
both kinds of massage are meant to increase blood flow to your muscles, what this does is it takes away the lactic acid in your muscles. the lactic acid is what makes your muscles tense, or after a hard work out its what causes the soreness the next day. the difference between a swiss or relaxation massage and a deep tissue massage is the swiss is on the surface of your muscles, the part of them that is right under your skin and (everyone has it) fat layer. a deep tissue goes throughout your muscle and is best for relieving set in tension and any knots in the muscle. i used to be a massage therapist so i have taken class on the subject, and i hope that i answered your question!Whats the difference in a deep tissue and a relaxation massage?
With either massage you choose remember to drink lots of water after, to flush out all the toxins that have been massaged out of your body. I don't know if this will relax you long enough to conceive, the mind is powerful. Have you and your husband both been checked for other health inhibitors to pregnancy? If so, and there is nothing physically wrong, then get the massages on a cruise or vacation, it will double your chance at success. Godspeed.
Deep tissue is when they really dig into your muscles to loosten them up. I believe a relaxation massage is much softer and involves your temples and other areas on your body that are pleasurable. For some people, deep tissue is extremely relaxing and pain relieving (gets out all the knots) but I much prefer the latter because I am quite sensitive and the deep tissue is just too much for me--it doesn't feel good..it hurts.
