Numbness in foot after deep tissue massage?

I went and got a deep tissue massage and a day later, I got a numbness that is sort of tingling in one specific area of my foot. I have had this numbness for 3 months now. What is going on?Numbness in foot after deep tissue massage?
I would seek the advice of a medical physician. The massage may have revealed a condition that may have already been present. An initial concern might be a deep vein thrombosis or a DVT (a blood clot in a deep vein of the leg). Another concern may be the vulnerability of the nerves of the legs or feet due to a number of conditions that affect the nervous system. Hopefully your physician can help you sort this out. 3 months is significant enough time to follow-up with it.Numbness in foot after deep tissue massage?
My guess is that you live an inactive lifestyle? When was the last time you reached your optimum heart rate? If you do that every day, your extremities will get the blood they need.

Otherwise you are going to continue to have damage.

Get checked for diabetes, man. This could be your life at risk.
Probably put too much pressure on a nerve, or vein. Should get better soon or go to Doc in the Box.
i also have the same problem, from a foot massage, three years ago. my big toe goes numb, i sometime get pains in the area leading to it, and an uncomfy, tingling something... i think i should finally go to the doctor! i suspected nerve damage from too much pressure, kneading out those bumps under the surface...
